Select a 2016 Audi A3 trim level
The A3 by Audi offers seating for four and luxurious appointments you won’t find in many other vehicles, available in several trim levels with plenty of addable options. Standard equipment gets you 17” alloy wheels, xenon headlamps (automated), LED daytime running lights, heated/powered side mirrors, remote entry, heated wiper nozzles, front/rear parking sensors, automated windshield wipers, powered front seating, leather upholstery, 60/40 splitting and folding rear seating, Bluetooth/iPod/USB integration, the MMI interface with touchscreen console, two-zone climate control, and 10-speaker audio system with HD radio. Options and upgrades can add larger wheels, larger touchscreen console, remote start, GPS, LED interior lights, rolling Wi-Fi, voice command, upgraded Bang & Olufsen audio system, collision mitigation system, heated front seating, paddle shifters, sport-tuned suspension and more. This sedan features an upgradable and turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 170 horsepower and 200 pound-feet of torque.
2016 model year changes
For 2016, Audi has expanded the A3's standard feature list, which now includes a rearview camera and parking sensors, "Alu-optic" interior trim, and heated mirrors and washer nozzles. Additionally, Active Lane Assist, Audi Pre-Sense automatic braking, and adaptive cruise control are all optional on the A3 Prestige trim. 4G LTE data connectivity, S-line styling, and a Bang & Olufsen audio are now available on all A3 trim levels.
Later in the model year, the 5-door Sportback "e-tron" will debut. This A3 hybrid is capable of running on pure electric power, gasoline power, or a combination of the two.

Special features for 2016
The Audi A3 competes against other compact premium cars such as the BMW 2-Series, the Mercedes CLA and, to a lesser extent, the MINI Cooper. In past decades, owning a small car meant dealing with little more than bare bones transportation. These days though, owners of small cars need not be deprived of anything, and the A3 looks to continue that trend by offering a vehicle with a small footprint but with luxury-car performance and amenities. The A3 starts under $31,000.
