I have owned sports cars most of my life and the BRZ will out handle any of them through curves. The responsiveness of the steering feels like the go-cart I had as a kid. It would be great if it had a turbo although the performance is very good once you get into the power range of the engine. The redeeming item is that it has a wide power range from 4500 to 7000 RPMs

The BRZ is a really fun car to drive and it does turn heads. I have had several strangers comment on how nice it looks. However if you expect it to be a muscle car, it is not. It has a 200 HP Boxer engine which makes it a sprinter and it has standard summer tires . To be a true sport car a Turbo would help along with sport suspension and sport designed tires but for just plain fun this car is a little sweetie.

My BRZ is FUN to drive. Handles curves, turns, stops, avoidance maneuvers with aplomb. Engine is fairly powerful for the weight but could use a bit more ponies--would likely need larger width tires to handle the extra power. Could use a backup camera and head up display, especially the backup camera. The console cup holders are a bit awkward to use but the door panel holders work fine for cans and insulated drink holders. Not sure why they bothered with back seats. Front and side fields of view pretty good. Holds the road like it is wearing cleats except can be a little bit challenging to accelerate hard in a corner. Seating is comfortable to me. I drive pretty hard and most of my driving is highway but still average around 29 to 30MPG. Not particularly versatile if one has to haul things around but luggage space is adequate for trips without sports gear.

The Subaru BRZ is a fantastic choice for spirited driving and commuting. I drive about 100 miles a day, and this little sports car gets the job done in style! Highway driving gets me 34 mpg with a few subtle aero modifications and tight corners can be taken with plenty of momentum thanks to the low center of gravity. Overall, the BRZ is very comfortable and engaging. You won't find any driver assistance technology aside from the Bluetooth hands-free, but that's not what this car is about. The BRZ is all about marrying function and style. I literally get a thumbs up at least once or twice a week from passing motorists! A little more power would be great but this car is so light, you tend to forget about it at higher speeds. In a world of safe choices and hundreds of the same car models passing by, the BRZ stands out in a crowd, and puts a smile on your face!

I rarely write reviews as I have high expectations, so only when these are exceeded or badly missed will I got into print. I bought the BRZ for the styling/visual appeal, the handling and because it was front engine/rear wheel drive along with the fact they were fairly uncommon at the time of purchase. What has most impressed me has been the comfort for both driver and passenger even over very long distances (north Louisiana to Key West) and the car's total reliability. The BRZ has never let me down. In fact I have nothing bad to say about the car (well more power is always nice...). I am so pleased my next car may well be another Subaru BRZ. Yes the BRZ has exceeded my high expectations.
