2015 model year changes

A new E400 sedan replaces last year's E550 sedan. The E400 is powered by a turbocharged V6, rather than a V8, which should improve fuel economy in the mid-sized luxury sedan. Though the new engine is less powerful than the one it replaces, it makes up for the power deficit with greatly improved efficiency. For buyers who must have V8 power with their E-Class sedan, the E63 is still available.

Special features for 2015

The E-Class offers a wide range of models that are each quite different, yet they each have plush cabins, some of the world's best safety innovations, and a reputation like no other. All of the E-Class models also have great ride quality and a relatively quiet interior--even the Cabriolet. The E63 AMG performance model packs an intense level of performance in an otherwise somewhat staid luxury package. There's also a choice between two "green" powertrains --a diesel and a hybrid.
The five-passenger Mercedes-Benz E-Class luxury midsize sedan also comes as a coupe, wagon or convertible that’s offered in numerous trim levels based upon the body style. The standard model comes with 17” alloy wheels, signature grille and hood ornamenting, sports-tuned brakes and suspension, LED headlights (automatic), LED taillights, suspension dampers (adaptive), two-zone climate control (automatic), powered front seats, premium vinyl upholstery, the Mercedes COMAND electronics interface with Bluetooth/USB/iPod integration and premium eight-speaker sound system. Upgrades can increase wheel size, add voice control, backup camera, collision and lane departure warning system, premium 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, ventilated and heated, powered seats, parking assist system, remote entry/start and many others. Several engines are available, based upon the trim and the body style, they include: a 2.1-literfour-cylinder diesel engine that gets 195 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque; a 3.5-liter V6 engine that makes 302 hp and 273 lb-ft torque; a 4.7-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that churns out 402 hp and 443 lb-ft torque; or a monstrous twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8 engine that screams out 550 hp and 531 lb-ft torque. The E-Class is backed by a 48-month/50,000-mile warranty.
