2015 model year changes

For 2015, the Mazda CX-9 is mostly unchanged from last year. A new option package is available, dubbed the Recreation Accessory Package. It adds roof rails, cross bars, a cargo net and a stainless-steel rear bumper guard. New colors are also available for 2015.

Despite having room for seven and a slew of seating configurations, this large SUV has a sporty driving feel and a distinctive design. The standard safety features and available technology offer a great compromise between minivan and sleek SUV.
The seven-passenger large-sized CX-9 SUV by Mazda is about as large as a crossover comes, and is available in all-wheel-drive. The base model offers 18” alloy wheels, vanity roof spoiler, all powered accessories, triple-zone climate control (automatic), cloth seating, 5.8” touchscreen console, Bluetooth/iPod/USB connectivity, heated mirrors, heated and powered front seats and a six-speaker audio system. Upgrade to a different package or a higher trim level and an array of features await you that include: automated headlamps, leather seating, parking sensors (front and rear) cross-traffic alert system, backup camera, larger 21” wheels, bi-xenon headlamps, LED running lights, fog lights, powered liftgate in rear, updated interior trim accents, remote entry/start, standard 115-volt household plug outlet, GPS system, sunroof and 11-speaker premium Bose audio system. The CX-9 is driven by a hearty 3.7-liter V6 engine that makes 273 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, and is capable of towing over 3,000 pounds.
