2015 Kia Forte Values
Select a 2015 Kia Forte trim level
The Kia Forte is a five-passenger mid-sized sedan that comes in two trims: LX and EX (available as a sedan, coupe or hatchback). The base model features full powered accessories, 15” wheels (steel), a rear bench that is 60/40 split-folding, USB/iPod/Bluetooth connectivity and a six-speaker sound system. Upgrade to the LX or EX trim levels and get bigger wheels (16”-17”), folding front and rear armrests, powered sunroof, upgraded options to the interior trim (like enhanced gauge clusters), eight-speaker audio system, chrome accented trim on the inside and outside, the Uvo entertainment system with backup camera, satellite radio and touchscreen, remote start and remote entry, LED tail lamps, xenon headlamps, climate control (two-zone with rear vents), heated and powered seats that are ventilated and a few other optional add-ons. The standard LX engine is a 1.8-liter four-cylinder that produces 148 horsepower and 131 pound-feet of torque. This can be upgraded to a punchier 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 173 hp and 154 lb-ft of torque. The Forte comes with a 60-month/60,000-mile limited bumper-to-bumper warranty.
2015 model year changes
After a full redesign last year, the Forte returns in 2015, with only a couple of minor tweaks to the engine to further improve fuel economy.
Competitive comparison
Stylish exterior; choice of powertrains; fuel-efficiency; great list of standard equipment; standout comfort and convenience options
Special features for 2015
The Forte is a compact sedan that's one size down from the Kia Optima and one up from the Kia Rio. It competes in a crowded segment, against some very established nameplates like the Toyota Corolla, Honda Accord, Nissan Sentra, Hyundai Elantra, Volkswagen Jetta and Ford Focus, as well as the relatively new Chevrolet Cruze and Dodge Dart. The Kia stands out for offering a little more equipment for the same price--as well as some standout comfort options, such as a heated steering wheel and cooled driver's seat. There's also a choice between two engines, a fuel-efficient 1.8L and the stronger 2.0L so every buyer can find the right combination of power and fuel economy.
