2015 model year changes
The Dodge Caravan is largely unchanged entering into 2015. The only major change is the addition of a Plus Package available on SE and SXT trims. The plus package adds various popular optional items to the Grand Caravan, improving exterior looks with new wheels while simultaneously improving interior appointments through the use of nicer materials and addition of several amenities.
Versatile interior; comfortable ride; tons of storage space; powerful V6
Special features for 2015
The Grand Caravan was one of the first minivans to make it big in North America, and it's still one of the best. The base Grand Caravan starts under $21,000 and that brings a 6-speed automatic, heated power mirrors, keyless entry, 2-zone air conditioning, standard stability control, tire pressure monitoring and a host of air bags. EPA-estimated mileage on the highway is a strong 25 mpg.
With seating for seven and four trims to choose from (American Value Package (AVP), SE, SXT and R/T), the Dodge Grand Caravan already comes nicely stacked in the base model. Standard equipment includes 16” wheels (steel), powered and heated mirrors, powered accessories, two-zone automatic climate control, reclining/foldable/removable rear bench, overhead storage console and four-speaker audio system. For those who desire even more amenities, added options or upgraded trims will get you things like triple-zone climate control, captain’s chairs in the second-row, nine-speaker audio system with optional rear DVD entertainment console with 9” screen, powered sliding doors and liftgate, foglights, standard 115-volt power outlet, 6.5” touchscreen with GPS, satellite radio, Bluetooth/USB/iPod integration, backup camera, premium 17” alloy wheels, and even a collision warning system. The Grand Caravan is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that makes 283 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. It’s backed by a three-year/36,000-mile warranty.
