The Escalade is a luxury-vehicle icon--both as one of the most luxurious and noteworthy American luxury vehicles and as a capable truck beneath it all. Cadillac says that the Escalade's EPA highway rating of 21 mpg is 17 percent higher than that of the previous model, and significantly better than that of either the Mercedes-Benz GL550 or Lexus LX 570. Yet the Escalade can reach 60 mph in less than six seconds--shockingly quick for a vehicle of its size and weight. The Escalade's trailer-towing rating of up to 8,300 pounds (or 8,100 pounds for the ESV) is better than that of the Land Rover Range Rover or either of those other models. Separately, the new front-seat airbag is unlike anything else in this class, potentially providing an added assurance in some types of accidents, while all the active-safety features might help keep you from ever getting in one.
Heavily refined with a sophisticated new exterior design and a host of technological enhancements, the 2015 Cadillac Escalade ESV is a big vehicle boasting sizable luxury. Built on a chassis consisting largely of high-strength steel construction, the 2015 Cadillac Escalade ESV provides a smooth, tightly regulated ride made possible by the rapid adjustment of standard magnetic ride control. Electric power steering, automatic locking rear differential and four-wheel anti-lock brakes with Duralife rotors is included on the 2015 Cadillac Escalade ESV presenting improved drivability. Full LED lighting and 20-inch wheels are added standard exterior touches. Configured for eight passengers, the 2015 Cadillac Escalade ESV’s leather-appointed interior radiates with quality. The additional length of the 2015 Escalade ESV allows the third row passenger row to enjoy almost 10 inches of greater legroom compared to the shorter wheelbase Escalade. With second and third row seated folded, the 2015 Cadillac ESV offers up to 120.5 cubic feet of interior cargo space. An eight-inch touchscreen operating the Cadillac CUE infotainment system is standard on all 2015 Escalade ESV models. A Base, Luxury and Premium trim level version of the 2015 Cadillac Escalade ESV provides the option of a rear-wheel or four-wheel drivetrain.
