2015 model year changes

For 2015, BMW's X5 returns with a few changes. The X5 sDrive35i and xDrive35i receive a slight increase in engine displacement, while an improvement in the transmission increases acceleration and fuel efficiency. Elsewhere, equipment reshuffling has changed certain standard and optional features.

Special features for 2015

BMW's X5 offers seating for seven with high-tech on- and off-road capabilities. With great styling as well as a host of refinements throughout its development, the package is hard to ignore. The five-passenger performance BMW X5 M is a supercharged version of the popular X5. Nicely equipped, standard outfitting include: 20” premium alloy wheels, self-leveling suspension system, adaptive xenon headlamps, LED daytime running lights, powered and folding side mirrors, automated wipers, parking sensors in the front and rear, powered rear lift gate, rear privacy glass, panoramic sunroof, remote entry/start, two-zone climate control, powered front seats, BMW’s Assist emergency communications system, the iDrive electronics interface, GPS system, Bluetooth/iPod/USB connectivity and a 16-speaker premium audio system. Optional packages can add things like massaging and ventilated front seats, quad-zone climate control, top-view parking camera, automated high beams, upgraded audio system and more. Powering the X5 M is a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine that makes an impressive 555 horsepower and 501 pound-feet of torque. BMW offers a four-year/50,000-mile limited warranty.
