BMW has given the X3 a facelift for 2015, reworking both the interior and exterior styling to make the vehicle look just a bit more up to date. Additionally, several new mechanical configurations are available for 2015. Rear wheel drive will be an option on the 4-cylinder gasoline model, while a new 4-cylinder diesel engine has also been introduced. It promises to improve fuel economy while still providing adequate power.

The sensible, yet stylish cabin strikes a great balance between plush comfort and practical family sensibilities, and it has one of the more comfortable back seats in its class; while the number of useful high-tech features and driver aids is impressive.
For 2015, the BMW X3 crossover is defined with all-new front-end styling borrowed from the 3 Series. Along with a restyled front and rear bumper cover, side mirrors on the 2015 BMW X3 also include integrated turn signals. LED headlights are optional on the 2015 BMW X3. Three engine choices are offered on the 2015 BMW X3 line-up all mated with an eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. Available with sDrive rear-wheel drive or the xDrive all-wheel drive system, the 2015 BMW X3 28i models feature a 240-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine. Equipped only with all-wheel drive, the 2015 BMW X3 xDrive35i model receives a more potent 300-horsepower, 3.0-liter turbocharged, six-cylinder engine. For the first time, BMW X3 models sold in North America will offer a diesel engine available in 2015. The 2.0-liter TwinPower turbocharged diesel four-cylinder powerplant generates 180 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. The diesel engined 2015 BMW X3 is only offered with xDrive all-wheel drive.
