Special features for 2015

The 2015 Audi A5, S5 and RS5 are a family of compact luxury coupes and cabriolets. While the powertrains and some of the performance hardware are different among the three models, much of the same features are carried over and they have essentially the same seating space and design, though coupes have seating for five while cabriolets can seat four. The A5 lineup offers a good alternative to the BMW 3-Series, Cadillac CTS coupe and Infiniti Q50 coupe. In S5 form, it offers one of the best compromises between ride, comfort and performance of any of these models, while the RS5 takes performance coupes to a new level, with 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds, according to Audi. With the Audi Connect system and revised MMI controller and its live Google Earth maps, it has one of the best (and best-looking) infotainment systems.
The Audi S5 comes in either a coupe or convertible (soft top) and two popular trim levels: Premium Plus and Prestige. With the base model, you’ll get 18” alloy wheels equipped with sporty summer touring tires, powerful xenon headlamps, LED running lights, remote entry and ignition, sunroof (coupe model only), auto-dim mirrors, sports-tuned suspension and brakes, power seating, faux suede upholstery, split rear bench, a MMI (multimedia interface) electronics controller that’s mounted on the dashboard with a 6.5” touchscreen, and a 10-speaker audio system with USB/iPod inputs. Upgrades include desirable and luxurious add-ons such as a blind-spot alert system, Bang & Olufsen 14-speaker premium audio system, larger 7” touchscreen console, 19” alloy sports wheels, parking sensors (front and rear) with backup camera, voice command console, Bluetooth connectivity and rolling Wi-Fi hotspot, to name a few. Powering the S5 is a very capable 3.0-liter V6 engine that delivers a resounding 333 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. The S5 is backed by Audi’s 48-month/50,000-mile warranty.
