Special features for 2015

Distinguishing oneself among the crowded luxury sedan segment is not easy. The Acura RLX's refinement and capabilities are among the many virtues that let the RLX more than holds its own. A powerful V6 and smooth-shifting transmission provide spirited performance, while Acura's Precision All-Wheel Steer system gives the RLX a sure-footedness not found in other front-wheel-drive cars. With loads of impressive amenities and safety features and a base price under $50,000, the RLX gives buyers a contender to consider against competitors like the BMW 5-Series, Audi A6, Cadillac CTS and Mercedes-Benz E350.
The Acura RLX offers much to like for a midsized luxury sedan. It comes in two trims: base and sport, in addition to the carmaker offering a variety of different packages and optional upgrades. The base model boasts 18” wheels, LED headlamps, a powered sunroof, remote entry and ignition, powered and heated seats (front), backup camera, Bluetooth/iPod/USB integration and triple-zone automatic climate control. Update the trim level to get enticing add-ons like an integrated GPS system with 8” touchscreen and AcuraLink app marketplace, larger 19” wheels with sport-tuned suspension and brakes, four-speaker ELS audio system, collision warning and lane departure features, and much more. The base model is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that makes 310 horsepower. The upgraded Sports Hybrid trim offers the same V6 engine with added electric power, increasing the horsepower output to 377. Acura backs the RLX with a four-year/50,000-mile limited warranty.
