The big news for the 2014 Porsche Cayenne is the release of the Cayenne Turbo S, the 550-hp top-of-the-line sporting SUV variant. The Turbo S boasts 50 hp more than the Turbo, with 0 to 60 mph claimed in just 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 175 mph. Power comes from the same 4.8L V8 utilized by the Turbo, but with torque improved from 516 ft-lb to 553 ft-lb. The new Cayenne Turbo S is priced at $146,000, and standard equipment includes 21-inch Turbo II wheels, dynamic chassis control, torque vectoring, and Porsche's Sport Chrono Package.

The Porsche Cayenne represents the ultimate in SUV performance and capability. Now available in a 550-hp Turbo S trim level, the 2014 Porsche Cayenne is a mid-size luxury SUV available in Hybrid and Turbo trim levels. The base Cayenne is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 300 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. Upgrading to the Cayenne S grants the driver a 4.8-liter V8 engine that produces 400 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. The Cayenne Turbo utilizes the same engine but adds twin turbochargers to boost numbers up to 500 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. The Cayenne, Cayenne S, and Cayenne Turbo all achieve fuel mileage within an EPA estimated range of 15 mpg city to 22 mpg highway. Other trims include the a GTS (420 hp) and Diesel (240 hp). For increased fuel economy Porsche offers the Cayenne Hybrid comes equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 hybrid engine that produces 380 hp and enables an EPA estimated 20 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. All Cayenne models come equipped with AWD and have an 8-speed automatic transmission, except for the base Cayenne that can be equipped with a 6-speed manual. Features include high-end surround sound, Porsche Communication Management, lane change assist, rear-view camera, and rear seat entertainment. Safety is comprised of advanced braking, stability management (PSM), active suspension management (PASM), dynamic chassis control (PDCC) and anti-theft protection.
