Special features for 2014

In the world of high-end sports cars, the 911 is the most iconic choice, with 50 years of evolution under its belt. Though the design continues to change, the fundamentals are still in place: rear-mounted flat-6 engine and a precision chassis developed with handling in mind. Together, the components make for a sports car that's hard to beat both in terms of aesthetics and performance, as well as history. It's a capable competitor for the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Audi R8, BMW M3 and Nissan GT-R.
Now available in GT3 (475 hp), Turbo (520 hp) and Turbo S (560 hp) trims, the 2014 Porsche 911 is a rear-engine two-door luxury sports coupe available in coupe, targa, and convertible body styles. The standard Carrera is RWD and comes equipped with a 3.4-liter flat-6 engine that produces 350 hp and 287 lb-ft of torque. The Carrera S gets a boost in power thanks to a 3.8-liter flat-6 engine that produces 400 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. An AWD option is available with the selection of the Carrera 4 or Carrera 4S, both of which have the same engines as the Carrera and Carrera S. For even more upgraded performance a Carrera GTS and Carrera GTS Cabriolet trim are also offered featuring a direct fuel injection 3.8-liter V6 engine that produces 408 hp. All Porsche Carrera models come with a standard six-speed manual transmission or optional PDK transmission. Fuel mileage falls within an EPA estimated range of 19 mpg city to 27 mpg highway. The 911 is backed by a 4-year/50,000-mile warranty.
