Special features for 2014
The GranTurismo is Maserati's high-performance grand-touring sport coupe, featuring a strong Ferrari designed V8 engine and 2+2 seating. Compared to other grand-touring coupes like the Jaguar XK, BMW M6 or even the Audi R8, the GranTurismo features Italian design with an unmistakable expressiveness and flair--and an unmistakable engine sound--that simply isn't found many German grand-tourers. The GranTurismo models also have great opportunity for personalization.
Similar to the 2014 Maserati GranTurismo coupe mechanically, the GranTurismo Convertible most notable quality is an open interior with a retractable three-layer fabric soft-top. Featuring standard HID headlights at the front, the rear triangular shaped taillight assembly on the 2014 Maserati GranTurismo Convertible is illuminated by 96 LED lights. Available in base trim, the 2014 Maserati GranTurismo Convertible is also offered in a more aggressively styled Sport and race-themed MC featuring an extensive use of carbon fiber. For 2014, carbon fiber hood is new for the MC version of the Maserati GranTurismo Convertible. Standard amenities found on all 2014 Maserati GranTurismo Convertibles include automatic climate control and the Maserati Multimedia System. Powered by the same 4.7 liter V8 engine as the coupe, the 2014 Maserati GranTurismo Convertible’s power output has been fractionally reduced to 444 horsepower and 376 pounds feet of torque. Delivered to the rear wheels, 0 to 60-mile per hour times with the 2014 Maserati GranTurismo Convertible is estimated at 5.1 seconds. Achieving a top speed of 177 miles per hour, the 2014 Maserati GranTurismo Convertible base and Sport models offer the sport comfort of a Skyhook adaptable suspension system.
