Bought the Jeep New..... and custom up graded it with lift and londg arm suspension, 35 bead lock rim, Custom spare tire mount , rock rails, full skid plate, on board air compressor, Poision spyder bumpers front and rear.... And a Maginson super charger. Get 17-21 mpg on the Hiway Drive it in the rockies, Moab, beach, snow and cross country 4000 miles. The only problem I had was a oil pressure sending unit..... Do oil every 5000 miles... Love the select shift feature manual or auto. Built solid and reliable ..... I have driven it across rivers, up waterfalls, 7years 4.0

Its a Jeep. The solid axle up front lends to a less than ideal daily ride, but thats also one if its best features against any other vehicle if youre considering an all around vehicle that you can take from the mall to a top of a mountain. Also, the aftermarket possibilities are endless and considerably less expensive than any other off-road vehicle Ive owned

I purchased my JKU Rubicon new from the dealer. While I enjoy driving it, there have been several maintenance issues in the first 40k miles:
1) Transfer case was replaced
2) oil pressure sending unit failed
3) Nav failed
4) intermittent electrical to headlight
5) sway bar disconnect failed
6) brakes drag and have been replaced
and a few others I may have forgotten. On a few of the above occasions, Chrysler and the dealer was very difficult to work with.

Reliable, can go anywhere any time. Fun vehicle in the summer with top, and doors removed. I can haul a few things, pull a small trailer or my 23ft center console boat. Did I mention I can go anywhere!??

Wonderful vehicle. I have pulled a trailer from Iowa to Kentucky and got around 17 MPG. Drives excellent. Acceleration is slow but what do you expect from a 6 Speed with 4:10 gears.
