2014 model year changes
For 2014, the Jaguar XJ gets a few small but significant changes. The biggest news is the availability of the XJR, a top of the line high performance model powered by a monster 550 hp V8 engine. Smaller changes include softer closing doors, a newly available massage function for the front seats, some better interior trim, an optional 1300-watt 26 speaker stereo system and new wheel and color options.
Exciting design; top-shelf luxury; technological goodies galore; supercharged V6 and V8 power; all-wheel drive available
Special features for 2014
The Jaguar XJ has always been a premium symbol of ultimate automotive luxury. Prices start at under $75,000, but that buys a smooth, powerful drivetrain as well as a specific kind of comfort and elegant, understated style that has always been emblematic of the XJ--the kind unavailable from BMW, Audi or Cadillac.
The 2014 Jaguar XJ is a full-sized luxury sedan available in standard and extended length trim levels. The XJ is offered with three different engines; a standard 3.0-liter V6 engine (340), 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine (470 hp), or a performance-oriented 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine (550 hp). RWD (or optional AWD) is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, enabling the XJ to achieve fuel mileage within an EPA estimated range of 15 mpg city to 28 mpg highway, depending on engine selection. Features include bi-function HID xenon headlamps, heated exterior mirrors, push-button start, powered passenger table, heated/cooled seats, navigation, dual rear iPad docking stations, champagne flutes and a fridge. Safety is comprised of a protective body shell, advanced airbags, blind-spot monitor, automatic speed limiter, tire pressure monitoring (TPMS), emergency brake assist (BA), electronic brake force distribution (EBD), anti-lock braking (ABS), traction control (TCS), dynamic stability control (DSC), and cornering brake control. The XJ is backed by a 4-year/50,000-mile warranty.
