2014 model year changes
Ahead of a full redesign next year, the 2014 GMC Yukon features few significant changes. The Hybrid model and Yukon XL 2500 have been discontinued, as has the convenience package, though many of that package's options -- backup camera, rear park assist, remote start, auto-dimming rearview mirror, power adjustable pedals -- have become standard equipment on all Yukons.

Special features for 2014
The GMC Yukon is a sturdy full-size SUV, oriented toward carrying heavy loads of passengers or cargo and towing large trailers, such as those used for boats or horses. Both V8 engines provide strong performance, while the Yukon and its big brother, the Yukon XL, handle much better around town than their size might suggest. Ride quality and interior refinement are other high points.
Relatively unchanged, the 2014 GMC Yukon XL is an extended length full-size SUV available in standard and luxury Denali trim levels. All trims are powered by a 6.0-liter V8 engine that produces 352 hp and 382 lb-ft of torque. RWD (and optional 4WD) is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission that enables the Yukon to achieve an EPA estimated 10 mpg city and 16 mpg highway. Features include 20-inch wheels, power rear liftgate, leather seats, segment-exclusive power fold seats, touch-screen navigation, rear vision camera system, hands-free phone capabilities, and rear seat entertainment system. Safety is comprised of advanced airbags, side blind zone alert, StabiliTrak with proactive roll avoidance, OnStar, anti-lock braking system (ABS), and tire pressure monitoring. The Yukon is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
