Bought my Mazda 6 months ago and have no issues with it. Interior sound level is a bit high, but for a cheap economy car that gets 40 mpg at 60 mpg, you really can't complain

My 2013 Mazda 3i hatchback, like my two previous Mazdas, is sweet to drive and pretty to look at. Lifetime mileage is 32.1 mpg across all roads and driving types. And it's been highly reliable the past 6 years. I've had no issues at all, barring a recall that only mattered for cars driven on roads that get salted in the winter (which doesn't happen where I live). Mazda was highly proactive about addressing that issue, whether I needed it or not, so the recall experience was actually a plus rather than a minus. My only negative is excessive wear of interior silver paint on plastic edges.

No mechanical issues, avg. 35 mpg. Vehicle is loud inside and passenger space is limited.

I have 101,500 miles on car. My commute is 107 miles r/t - mostly highway. I have only needed tires thus far. I had the recommended 100K mile tune up at a dealership which gouged me. In future I will go to a local mechanic. I use full synthetic oil which I replace every 10K miles. My only advice is to change the OE tires as soon as you can afford to. My car performed much better with "premium touring performance tires". I decided on "Goodyear Assurance Comfort Tred". My only complaint is car has above average road noise. Noise dampening replacement tires help.

Skyactiv engine is amazing. I keep very accurate mpg. figures and after 14k miles in mixed driving it''s averaging a bit over 35 mpg with the automatic. There have been zero mechanical issues. I''m 6''4" and find the interior a bit tight but frankly no more than my prior Lincoln The handling is top notch and overall the vehicle is very solid. I often find myself surprised to be going close to 80 mph when I thought I was at about 60/65 mph. More rear legroom and a larger trunk are all I would ask for. But not if it would mean altering the exterior dimensions and affect the handling.
