Select a 2013 FIAT 500e BATTERY ELECTRIC trim level

2013 model year changes

The 2-door Fiat 500e is an all-new model for 2013. The diminutive electric car is based on the popular 500, sharing its gasoline-powered sibling's exterior and interior styling, along with its fantastic driving dynamics. The 500e boasts an EPA-estimated range of 87 miles, and Fiat claims a full charge time of less than four hours from a 240-volt charger. A single, well-appointed trim is available, and the 500e has its own distinct look, with unique front and rear fascias and rocker panel treatment, along with a slight rear wing and signature 15-inch alloy wheels. The 500e uses an 83-kilowatt electric motor producing 111 horsepower and 147 ft-lb of torque, with power coming from a 24-kilowatt-hour, 97-cell lithium-ion battery pack. A single-speed transmission puts power to the wheels, and Fiat claims the combination will propel the car from 0 to 60 mph in around 9 seconds. The 2013 Fiat 500e currently only available in California and is priced at $31,800.

Special features for 2013

With electric cars gaining more ground in an already-crowded automotive marketplace, Fiat's 500e is a fresh new alternative. Based on a proven, well-received platform with excellent driving dynamics and a huge fun factor, the 500e's 87-mile range between charges also trumps its electric competition from makes like Honda, Ford, and Nissan.
