The 2013 Dodge Dart is a compact car competing with the likes of the Ford Focus, Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Elantra and Honda Civic. Dart models start at just under $16,000 and top out at about $22,500 for the high performance R/T. Buyers get world class styling and lots of customization options. There are three different engines and three different transmissions available. Styling is customizable too, with Dodge offering a "Rallye" version that significantly changes the look of the vehicle, while still keeping the price of the car well below $20,000.
All new for 2013, the Dodge Dart is a compact sedan powered by a 2.4-liter Tigershark 4-cylinder engine that produces 160 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque, for a 0-60 time of 9.0 seconds. Additional engine options consist of a 1.4-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine (160 hp/184 lb-ft of torque) and a 2.4-liter Tigershark 4-cylinder engine (184 hp/171 lb-ft of torque). FWD can be paired to a standard 6-speed manual or optional 6-speed automatic transmission. Fuel mileage falls within an EPA estimated range of 25 mpg city to 41 mpg highway, depending on engine/transmission selection. Features include dual integrated exhaust, projector headlamps, 18-inch wheels, ambient lighting, available leather seating, Uconnect touchscreen, finely stitched shifter boot, steering wheel mounted controls, and a crosshair grille. Safety is comprised of advanced airbags, brake assist (BA), electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist (HSA), brake lock differential, traction control system (TCS), electronic roll mitigation, and anti-lock braking (ABS).
