The 2011 Ram 1500 is a full-size pickup truck powered by a standard 3.7-liter V6 engine that produces 215 hp and 235 lb-ft of torque. Other engine options include a 310 hp producing 4.7-liter V8 and a 390 hp producing 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 that also achieves 407 lb-ft of torque. The Ram 1500 is available in 4x2/4x4 drivetrains, four or five-speed automatic transmission, regular or quad cab trim levels, and has a regular towing capacity of 5,000 lbs. Fuel mileage comes in at an EPA estimated range of 13 mpg city and 20 mpg highway, depending on engine and transmission selection. Options include halogen quad headlamps, remote keyless entry, fold-away power heated mirrors, traveler/mini trip computer, and a 6-speaker sound system. Safety features are comprised of electronic stability control, anti-lock 4-wheel disc brakes, advanced front airbags, supplemental side airbags, and a theft deterrent system. The Ram 1500 is covered by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
2011 model year changes
For 2011, the Dodge Ram 1500 receives some minor trim and accessory updates. New in the SLT trim is an Outdoorsman package, which replaces the previous TRX package and includes various off-road goodies. Also new is the luxury-oriented Laramie Longhorn package. Optional on Ram 1500s is a spray-in bedliner and a new hard-drive navigation system. Sport models will get a standard touch-screen stereo with hard drive.

For 2011, there are over a dozen possible combinations of the Dodge Ram 1500 full-size pickup. All 1500s ride on a fully boxed frame and a rear suspension that features coils springs and multi-links with a solid axle. Once again, all trims will feature the RamBox storage system, complete with locking bins along the bed of the truck.
