Special features for 2011

The long-wheelbase version of the A8, the A8L, is now slightly longer than the BMW 7-Series, Lexus LS or Mercedes-Benz S-Class, bringing an exceptionally roomy interior. The A8 still manages to feel more nimble and responsive than would ever be expected for such a large vehicle. With its new, stronger powertrain, the A8 not only performs better but achieves EPA highway rating of 27 mpg--near the head of the pack among large luxury sedans. A number of other tech features, such as the industry-first full LED headlamps and the next-generation touchpad MMI interface inside, are market standouts.
Given a more aggressive looking face through some minor styling touches, the 2011 Audi A8 sedan's overall is also advanced through the application of subtle wheel arches and a reshaped rear deck lid. A first for an automaker, the 2011 Audi A8 features optional full LED headlights to accompany the already LED taillights. Thanks to the utilization of aluminum components, the 2011 Audi A8 has been allowed to grow by 3 inches in length and 2 inches in width without adding weight to the large sedan. Jam-packed with standard features, the 2011 Audi A8 finds conveniences such as heated seats, in-dash DVD player and 18-way power seats. Riding inside the Audi A8 interior featuring brushed aluminum inlays, 5 passengers ride on Audi's adaptive air suspension while a retuned 4.2 liter V-8 works in concert with a 8-speed automatic transmission. Adding 22 horsepower over 2010 for a total of 372 through standard Audi quattro drive, the 2011 A8 achieves on average an almost 3 mile per gallon fuel economy boost.
