2010 model year changes

For 2010, the Lexus RX has been completely redesigned, with new body panels throughout and slightly larger overall dimensions. Two versions are available: the RX 350, and the RX 450h. Both are available in either two or all-wheel drive. Last year's 270 horsepower 3.5L V6 has been slightly reworked for the new RX 350, now producing 275 horsepower, and a new 6-speed transmission replaces last year's 5-speed unit. This year's all-new RX 450h makes 295 horsepower--27 horsepower more than the 2009 RX 400h it replaces. It can run on one or both of its power sources, comes equipped with a CVT transmission and requires no plug-in charging. All RXs get an all-new rear suspension control arm system, replacing 2009's strut tower system and providing an extra 1.7 cubic feet of cargo space. 18-inch wheels are now standard, with 19-inch wheels optional, and the brakes have been updated with dual-piston calipers and larger rotors front and rear.
