2010 model year changes

First off, last year this was known as the GX 470. The model name may be ten smaller, but nothing else has diminished--even the SUV's weight has increased by over 400 pounds. The SUV's new 4.6-liter V8 is slightly smaller than last year's, but it has noticeably more power -- 301 hp vs. 263 hp. The transmission is also new, too, a smooth-shifting six-speed automatic.

Special features for 2010

This is one luxury SUV that's actually utilitarian in addition to being extremely comfortable and quiet. It has a ladder frame like the sport-utes of old and can tow up to 6500 pounds. Ruts and rocks mean nothing to its suspension, and there are enough gadgets inside to keep the non-outdoorsy occupants entertained in the second and third rows of seating.
The 2010 Lexus GX 460 is an all-new, full-size luxury SUV that comes standard with seating for up to seven passengers and V8 power. The GX 460 is powered by a new 4.6L V8 engine which produces 301 hp and is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. This SUV comes standard with 4WD as well, in addition to such features as a rear camera, Bluetooth connectivity, and Vehicle Stability Control.
