2010 model year changes

Audi's R8 supercar returns for 2010 with few visual changes, including high-gloss black chin spoiler and air inlet paint, a new grille design, and new all-LED headlights. The most noteworthy change is the addition of an optional 525-horsepower 5.2L V10 sourced from the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4. V10 models get unique 10-spoke 19-inch wheels, magnetic ride control, two large tailpipes instead of the V8's four, and larger brakes.

Special features for 2010

Audi's 2010 R8 delivers a driving and ownership experience that only the most exclusive marques can beat, and it does so at a cost that is virtually half of most of its competitors. The striking styling, the mid-mounted engine and the thrilling exhaust note come together to create a dynamic driving machine that is nothing short of exquisite. The V8-equipped R8 can sprint to 60 mph in just over four seconds and can ably run through whatever curves you might find. The R8 marries German engineering with Italian verve (the R8 shares its platform with the Lamborghini Gallardo) to great effect, and looks like nothing else on the road.
The 2010 Audi R8 is a high-performance sports car that seats two passengers. The R8 possesses strikingly exotic good looks. The base R8 utilizes a 420 hp 4.2L V8 which is paired with a six-speed manual transmission or Audi's R-Tronic sequential manual. New for 2010 is the inclusion of 5.2L V10 which ups the power to 525 horses and is offered with the aforementioned transmission choices. Both versions put the power to the ground through Audi's Quattro AWD. The V10 R8 comes standard with full LED headlights while the V8 R8 can be fitted with these as an option.
