The 2009 model year for Nissan is symbolized by several bold shapes. Among the most attention-grabbing of the new 2009 line is the high-speed GT-R. Launched in the middle of 2008, the 2009 Nissan GT-R is a striking supercar influenced by the legendary sport compact Skyline GT-R that was never offered in North America. The Nissan GT-R supercar is propelled by a 480-horsepower engine that is channeled through a high-tech ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive system. Eye-catching as an unusual practical vehicle, Nissan has brought the cube to North America. The new Nissan Cube represents a fun, inexpensive impression of compact utility. A three existing Nissan products are part of a refreshed model line-up. An all-new 2009 Nissan Maxima sport sedan receives a 290-horsepower engine and a radical appearance exercising what the brand calls "liquid motion'. A new exterior, interior and revised powertrain is found with an all-new Nissan Murano that caters to a more upscale crowd for 2009. While Nissan adds an all-new halo supercar, the smaller Z-branded sports car is still well-represented. The 350Z Coupe is replaced by the redesigned and more powerful Nissan 370Z Coupe.
