Special features for 2009

The 2009 F430 is Ferrari's current mid-engine, V8-powered supercar, and it provides quicker performance than more expensive Ferrari models of just a few years ago. The F430 is, in every way a super car, but it is Ferrari's entry-level model, with pricing starting at $186,925. This price buys a piece of the exceptional handling, blistering performance, and automotive racing heritage Ferrari has spent the last 60 years cultivating.
The 2009 Ferrari F430 is the culmination of more than 60 years of road-racing domination and technological development. The F430's 4.8L V8 not only produces an incredible soundtrack, but also belts out 490 hp at 8500 rpm. A 6-speed manual comes standard, but the F1-derived paddle-shift automatic gearbox is also available. Those who prefer open-air motoring can select the F430 Spider, which features a folding soft-top and rollover protection system. All models include a steering wheel mounted manettino switch to adjust suspension settings, traction control, and the dynamics of the gearbox and electronic differential. For the ultimate track day weapon, Ferrari offers the F430 Scuderia which utilizes 20 additional hp, carbon-ceramic brakes, aerodynamic improvements and a 220 pound weight reduction to match the vaunted Ferrari Enzo around the Fiorano test track.
