2009 model year changes

The Q7 gets a number of changes to its standard and optional equipment lists for 2009, including upgraded audio and standard Sirius Satellite Radio on the base 3.6 model and expanded availability of the side assist system. The MMI Advanced interface is now offered on the base 3.6 model, and a new 19-inch wheel design joins the lineup. The adaptive lighting system has been discontinued. Special features for 2009

The Q7 stands out for its well-proportioned design and understated, attractive styling that's a departure from other SUVs. Three rows of seating also make it appealing to families, and front seating is among the best of any vehicle. The highly anticipated 3.0 TDI model this year will address one of the inadequacies of the 3.6 and 4.2 models--fuel economy. With a highway rating of 25 mpg or better, the Q7 TDI is an excellent highway vehicle as well.
The 2009 Audi Q7 is the true workhorse in the Audi lineup. This 4-door, 5-passenger Q7 now has 3 engine options to choose from, thanks to the addition of the 3.0L TDI V6 which produces 221 hp and an astonishing 406 lb-ft of torque. All trims come standard with the 6-speed Tiptronic transmission. Standard features on the Q7 include front Dual Zone climate control, power side mirrors, in-dash 6-disc CD changer, SIRIUS Satellite radio and rain sensing wipers to name a few. The 3.0L and 3.6L models receive 18" wheels standard, and the 4.2L receives newly designed 19" wheels as well as Side Assist standard. The Audi Q7 interior has the typical fit and finish we have all come to expect from the German manufacturer. Audi is now seen in the same class as the rival BMW X5 or the Mercedes M-Class. Audi has managed to make a good looking and sporty SUV that can still get down and dirty off-road with help from its standard Quattro AWD system and powerful choice of engine options.
