A popular among sports car buyers, the 2008 Pontiac Solstice features great-looking styling in a 2-door top-down, sleek-and-low package. Available in Convertible and GXP Convertible models, the Solstice comes equipped with a 177 horsepower 2.4-liter 4-cylinder as standard, with the GXP version getting a power boost at 260, generated from a 2.0-liter turbo gas 4-cylinder featuring 260 lbs.-ft of torque and a 5-speed manual transmission. Luxury amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, bucket seats, an adjustable steering wheel with audio controls and AM/FM/CD/MP3.
2008 model year changes
Pontiac enhanced the 2008 Solstice with a number of new standard features, including a tire pressure monitor, OnStar, XM satellite radio, and a driver information center. StabiliTrak is now included on the base Solstice, the premium acoustic headliner is installed on all models instead of being optional, and the standard CD player is MP3 compatible.
On the GXP, the new Club Sport Package adds an independent sport-tuned suspension, a limited-slip rear differential, and anti-lock brakes.
The optional Smoker's Package is no longer available, and Brazen Orange joins the color palette.
