2007 model year changes

The Mazda MX-5 Miata was redesigned in 2006, so the 2007 model is largely unchanged in terms of technical specs and equipment. The big news for 2007 is a power retractable hard top, which increases pricing by $2,915 over its cloth top counterparts. The 3rd Generation Limited style is not available for 2007.

Great handling; affordable retractable hard top; lots and lots of fun.

Special features for 2007

Mazda's Miata always seems to be one of the best values in the fun-to-drive category, and the 2007 MX-5 is no exception. Its lightweight 2.0L four-cylinder engine proves once again that you don't need loads of power to have a great sports car. Further enhancing the car's appeal is the fact that it offers the most affordable power folding roof on the market.
A carry-over from 2006, the MX5 is a two-door two-passenger roadster offered in four trim levels – the Value, the Sport, the Touring and the GT. All models feature a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 166 horsepower with the value package featuring a five-speed manual transmission as standard. The other models feature a six-speed manual transmission and the option of a fully retractable hardtop. There is also an optional five-speed automatic transmission.
