2007 model year changes
Isuzu has dropped the seven-passenger, longer wheelbase version of the Ascender for 2007, as well as its optional V8 engine. While most engines have received a lower number for horsepower output in 2007, due to the new way of measuring with all normal accessories, the Ascender's engine output is higher. The 4.2L in-line six-cylinder moves up by 16 horsepower from 275 to 291.
Tough and reliable; roomy interior; standard traction control and electronic stability control.
Special features for 2007
The 2007 Isuzu Ascender is a Chevrolet TrailBlazer/GMC Envoy wearing the Isuzu three-bar grill, and therefore offers a similar level of toughness and reliability. Like its brethren, it offers an in-line six-cylinder engine that is fairly torquey at 275 lb-ft of torque. The warranty coverage on the Ascender is better than most of its competitors.
A carry-over from 2006, the Ascender is a four-door five-passenger SUV featuring a 4.2-liter inline six-cylinder engine that produces 291 horsepower linked to a four-speed automatic transmission. The Ascender is offered in S Trim, in either two or four-wheel-drive configuration.
