2007 model year changes
The 2007 GMC Sierra 1500HD was carried forward from the 2006 model year and marketed as the "Classic" while GM readied the debut of their redesigned New Sierras. The Classic was virtually unchanged from the 2006 1500HD, except that recovery hooks were made standard.
Proven and reliable pedigree; impressive towing numbers; comfortable and spacious.
Special features for 2007
GMC's 2007 Sierra 1500HD Classic pickup is a straightforward workhorse built on a reliable and well-established platform. It uses a 300-horsepower 6.0L V8 to tow up to 10,300 pounds, which makes the 1500HD especially attractive to those consumers who are more impressed with what a truck can do than with how a truck looks. Since the 1500HD Classic is essentially a 2006 model, it sells at a relative discount when compared to the majority of similarly equipped 2007 pickups.
A carry-over from 2006, the Sierra 1500HD is a full-size pick up with four doors and up to six-passenger seating that offers a 6.0Liter V8 that produces 300HP and 367LB-FT of torque. A heavy-duty four-speed hydra-matic transmission is standard with a tow/haul switch that lessens shifting when towing. Available in WT, SL and SLT trim levels with the option of four-wheel-drive.
