A carry-over from 2006, the Durango is a four-door, up-to-seven-passenger sport utility vehicle that’s offered in five different trim levels. The SXT and ST come standard with a 3.7-liter V6 that produces 210 horsepower, while the Adventurer, SLT and Limited are offered with a 4.7-liter V8 that produces 235 horsepower. All models are available in both two and four-wheel-drive with a four-speed automatic standard with the V6, and a five-speed automatic with the V8.
2007 model year changes
The Dodge Durango gets a modest facelift for 2007. New front fenders, hood and headlights frame the latest grille. The new, larger rearview mirrors are both heated and folding. Side air bags have been added as standard equipment. There is now a vehicle information center in the overhead console. You now get a one-touch, three-blink lane-change feature. Dual front climate control is standard, as is an electronic stability control with standard trailer sway dampening.
