Having skipped the 2005 model year, the M sedan returns as a reborn model for 2006. Gaining an enhanced chassis and a sleek large sedan posture, there's more than the M45 sedan used to define the four-door in 2006. The 335-horsepower, V-8 propelled 2006 Infiniti M45 is joined by the less-expensive V-6 engined M35. An Infiniti M35x debuts as an all-wheel drive version of the large sport sedan while Rear Active Steer is optional with both engine choices. Rear Active Steer can also be added to the 2006 Infiniti Q45 that also adds standard Bluetooth connectivity. Fitted with a redefined front end for 2006, the Infiniti FX crossover includes greater standard equipment such as the inclusion of leather front heated seats on the FX35. Bluetooth connectivity is now available on the G35 Sedan while the G35 Coupe offers new bi-xenon headlights and Rear Active Steer.
