Through the increase use of all-wheel drive in Volvo products occurring in recent years, the Swedish automaker decided to add the system to their flagship sedan. The all-wheel drive version of the Volvo S80 is exclusively powered by the turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine. All 2004 model year S80 sedans are accented with updated front and rear styling. For 2004, performance luxury buyers will be attracted to highly potent versions of the S60 sedan and V70 wagon propelled by 300-horsepower, turbocharged 2.5-liter engines. Conceived from Four-C Technology (Continuously Controlled Chassis Concept), the 2004 Volvo S60 R and the V70 R feature electronically controlled all-wheel drive as well as Brembo aluminum brake calipers. Limited production, special edition versions of the V70 along with the S40 and V40 can be found in Volvo dealerships for 2004. The Volvo V70 2.5T Titanium Edition features a striking Titanium Grey, silver roof rails and sport seating. Limited Sport Edition versions of the 2004 Volvo S40 and V40 include leather seating, premium sound system, power glass moonroof and rear spoiler. Few changes are found on Volvo's C70, XC70 and XC90 vehicles for 2004.
