The Land Rover Discovery has been treated to an extensive upgrade for 2003 thanks to an all-new powerplant. Replacing a 4.0-liter engine, a 217-horsepower, 4.6-liter V-8 propels the 2003 Discovery range. A reordered trim level selection on the 2003 Discovery consists of an S, SE and top-of-the-line HSE. Debuting last year in the United States, the 2003 Land Rover Freelander compact premium sport utility vehicle expands with the inclusion of a second body style. A three-door Freelander SE3 features a detachable rear roof section allowing for open-air motoring. An improved exterior appearance and larger fuel tank are found on all 2003 Freelander models.
