The 2003 model year Jeep line-up involves no major changes for the Liberty and Grand Cherokee. Starting in 2003, the Jeep Wrangler is only offered with a six-cylinder powerplant. The 2003 model year also features the presence of several new special edition trims with the Jeep Wrangler. Standard with full metal doors and body-color matching fender flares is the Wrangler Freedom Edition. A 2003 Wrangler Rocky Mountain Edition model is highlighted by diamond plate rocker guards and rides on 30-inch wheel/tire combination. In a cross-promotion with the Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life movie, a limited run Tomb Raider Edition Jeep Wrangler is prepared with special badging and Mopar accessories.
