I have a 2003 R/t and is 20 years old and still humming down the road capable for another 20 . Was way ahead of its time .. if you look at the styling, engine, room, safety features and compare to all other premium trucks it compared to. IT’s was clearly the best. Keep explorer blazers all of them combined don’t have as many as the Dodge Durango 1st gen still on the road . That tells you everything you need to know about them . Their transmissions sucked and that’s one huge drawback but pound for pound and dollar for dollar rules that era

Great vehicle for family dependably is great will buy another i put it under dodge ram it was better than the derango but again it a truck not a suv. I have 20000 miles on derango and my ram had 443000 on it so big difference in milege but so far great.

My 2003 Durango has all wheel drive and two 4WD modes. It has a third row back seat which is collapsible as is the second row back seat giving the room of an enclosed pickup. It is a good perfumer and tows our 19" A-Frame trailer like it wasn''t there. Our only complaint is the extremely poor gas mileage. We average about 12-13 MPG

I bought my Durango brand new, and its been a fantastic SUV. Great in the snow/ice and has never left me stranded. Gas mileage isn''t great. Plus I am still using the ORIGINAL BATTERY!
