Bidding goodbye to the Z3 after 2002, BMW enters 2003 with an all-new exciting roadster called the Z4. Retaining a two-passenger cabin and rear-wheel drive performance like the Z3, the 2003 BMW Z4 is a modernized and refined follow-up to the previous roadster. After creating a low of waves as the new image of BMW's brand of luxury heading forward, the 7 Series sedan is expanded for 2003. A long wheelbase BMW 745Li is now offered while a 760Li serves as the new top-trimmed version powered by a 6.0-liter V-12 engine. Active cruise control is a new option on the 2003 7 Series and iDrive is standard on all trims of the flagship sedan. Nearing the end of its planned production run, the BMW Z8 is accompanied by the Alpina V8 Roadster for 2003. With a new 5 Series planned for the 2004 model year, the 2003 iteration of the mid-level BMW vehicle includes a standard sunroof on entry-level versions.
