I purchased this Carrera 4 a little over a year ago from a small used car lot in Muskegon, MI. The car had about 89,000 miles on it and needed some moderate mechanical restoration. Because of the condition of the car I was able to get the price down to where I would not loose money if I decided to sell it after making the necessary repairs. Now that I have a 911 that is almost back to stock condition I can say that it was a good investment. Be aware that for this 996 model Carrera you must replace the IMS bearing unless you want to play Russian roulette with the engine. It is a blast to drive.

I have enjoyed owning a 2002 Porsche 911 turbo for the past 7 years. It has been a summer weekend car and stays in the garage during the winter (under a cover). The power is still fantastic and the handling is pure 911. I prefer the feel of the old school hydraulic steering set-up as it provides more feel and feedback. I have spent some money on maintenance items like brakes and tires, as well as service interval related work, but only an oil pressure sensor/gauge, ignition switch, and hydraulic fluid for repair. It has been very reliable and a lot of fun to drive! Buy one.
