The 5-passenger Hummer H2 gets a few new features and cosmetic options in 2009. The revamped interior of the Hummer features second-row captain's chairs, a new third-row-seat storage option, Bluetooth, real-time traffic updates, OnStar in the navigation system, revised standalone rearview camera and a heated power-tilt steering wheel. Later in 2009, a new Black Chrome limited edition will become available. The Hummer's 6.2L V8 engine, which generates 393 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque, is now FlexFuel E85 capable. The standard six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift control reigns over the sturdy four-wheel drive. The H2 retains its bold, rugged exterior styling and off-road performance counterpointed to a plush interior. Due to the H2's GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) of more than 8,500 pounds, the EPA declines to state fuel economy estimates. Standard Hummer H2 safety equipment includes traction control, antilock disc brakes with brake assist, stability control with rollover prevention, and full-length side curtain airbags. |
