In 2009, the Suzuki SX4 sedan and new FWD crossover get standard navigation with Bluetooth and an audible text-message reader. The sedan also receives standard passenger armrests and a split-folding rear seat, while the crossover gets stability control. With a choice of front- or all-wheel drive, the SX4 is empowered by a 2.0L I4 engine producing 143 hp and 136 lb-ft of torque, mated to a five-speed manual transmission or optional four-speed automatic.
