2009 Saturn Outlook
For the 2009 Saturn Outlook, Bluetooth becomes optional on the base XE trim levels and standard on the upgraded XR trims, which offer two new Bose audio systems, real-time traffic capability for the navigation system and 20-inch wheels. Thanks to new direct-injection technology, the Saturn Outlook gets a boost in power and torque; the new XE now has a 3.6L V6 engine rated at 282 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque and the XR gets 288 hp and 270 lb-ft. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard, and both trims are available as either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. The front-wheel drive Outlook rates 17 mpg city/24 mpg hwy and 19 mpg combined. The AWD version is at just 1 mpg less. Saturn Outlook standard safety features include rollover-sensing stability control, antilock brakes, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and the GM OnStar service. A large crossover SUV, the Outlook is capable of accommodating eight passengers and towing up to 4,500 pounds.
