2009 Mazda B-Series Truck
2009 Mazda B-Series Truck
Basically unchanged for 2009, the Mazda B-Series pickup truck offers regular cab and extended cab trim levels, with either two-wheel or four-wheel drive. Since the 3.0L engine has been dropped, engine choices are a 2.3L four-cylinder engine producing 143 hp and154 lb-ft of torque or a 4.0L V6 with 207 hp and 238 lb-ft of torque, while transmission choices consist of a five-speed manual or five-speed automatic. Getting good fuel economy for its class, the B-Series regular cab with a manual transmission delivers 21 mpg city/26 mpg hwy and 19/24 mpg with automatic, while the extended cab gets 15/19 mpg with manual transmission and 14/18 mpg with automatic. Standard safety features include dual front air bags, front seat-belt pre-tensioners and a tire-pressure monitoring system. As for hauling, the B-Series can tow up to 5600 pounds with the standard Class III frame-mounted trailer receiver hitch. As Mazda B-Series specifications attest, this is a hard-working pickup truck that packs a lot in a compact size.
