Unchanged from last year except for side mirrors that now incorporate turn signals, the 2009 Lexus SC 430 remains powered by a 4.3L near-silent V8 engine generating 288 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque with rear-wheel drive through a six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift control. EPA estimated fuel economy comes in at 16 mpg city/23 mpg hwy and 19 mpg for combined driving. The SC 430 is equipped with standard safety features, such as antilock brakes with brake assist, traction and stability control, front-seat side airbags and front-seat knee airbags.
