Remaining primarily the same as last year, the 2009 Infiniti QX56 is a four-door, full-size luxury SUV that readily accommodates seven passengers. The QX56 is powered by a 5.6L V8 engine bursting with 320 hp and 393 lb-ft of torque mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. A choice is offered between rear-wheel- or four-wheel-drive trims. EPA-estimated fuel economy for the AWD comes in at 12 mpg city/17 mpg hwy, with RWD adding one mpg to hwy. Infiniti QX56 standard features include 18-inch alloy wheels, a navigation system, xenon HID headlights, heated leather seats, Bluetooth connectivity and a 10-speaker Bose stereo system with a six-disc in-dash CD changer. A rear-seat DVD entertainment system is available, while an optional second-row bench, that fits where the captain's chairs would, permits seating for a total of eight passengers. Among the safety features are a host of standard items, including stability control, antilock disc brakes, full-length side curtain airbags, a reverse parking sensor and a rearview camera. |
