The 2009 Honda Odyssey is a four-door, eight-passenger minivan with a solid engine and a host of standard safety features. The Odyssey is powered by a 3.5L V6 which is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. The EX-L and Touring trims have the added benefit of Honda's variable cylinder management system (VCM), which allows the engine to use just three, four or all six cylinders to increase fuel efficiency. The Honda Odyssey has a third-row dubbed the Magic Seat that expands capacity to fit eight passengers or when not in use it folds into the floor. Honda Odyssey standard safety features include side-impact and curtain airbags, four-wheel disc ABS, traction control and an electronic stability system that come standard in all models. Optional amenities include leather trim, dual-zone climate control, satellite radio and a navigation system. The EX-L trim adds a power tailgate for 2009 and the optional navigation now features Bluetooth. The 2009 Honda Odyssey achieves 16 mpg city and 23 mpg highway or 17 and 25 with the VCM system. |
