The completely redesigned 2009 Audi A4 offers great improvements over last year, including more space and better driving dynamics. The A4 offers two updated engines: a turbocharged 2.0L inline-4 with 200 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, and a 3.2L V6 that boosts output to 265 hp but reduces torque to 243 lb-ft. The sedan and wagon seat up to 5 passengers, while the convertible seats up to 4. Audi A4 standard features on the sedan and wagon include Quattro AWD and 6-speed automatic transmission with manual shift control. The convertible offers FWD and continuously variable transmission or Quattro AWD and 6-speed automatic. EPA-estimated fuel economy for the 2.0L sedan automatic is 21 mpg city/27 mpg hwy, The V6 lowers the numbers to 17/26/20. Convertibles with the 2.0L get 24 mpg combined on FWD models and 22 mpg combined on the Quattro. The drop top with the 3.2L gets a combined 20 mpg. The Audi A4 also boasts radar-based adaptive cruise control, and revised controls for Audi's Multi Media Interface (MMI) system. |
