Heavily upgraded for 2009, the Acura RL mid-size luxury sport sedan now offers a more powerful engine, exterior facelift, and improved suspension. The 3.7L V6 engine produces 300 hp and 271 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission with manual shift control that sends power to the SH-AWD system that works transparently to maintain traction under the worst of circumstances. The RL has an EPA rating of 16 mpg city/22 mpg highway and 18 mpg combined. The interior is attractively designed and features a 10-speaker Bose surround-sound system that gets audiophiles humming.
