The 2009 GMC Yukon improves fuel economy with a XFE package that features aerodynamic design and lightweight aluminum. 2009 GMC Yukon standard features include a third-row 3-passenger 50/50-split bench seat and new aluminum wheels. Bluetooth phone connectivity has become available, along with a rearview camera system, and the navigation system now has real-time traffic capabilities. And if that's not enough, a heavy-duty trailer package and separate integrated brake controller are also available as options. The base 2-wheel-drive Yukon is equipped with a 4.8L V8 with 295 hp and 305 lb-ft of torque and is paired with a 4-speed automatic. Yukon buyers have a choice of 2-wheel-drive and 4-wheel-drive, and the 4WD includes low-range gears for off-road driving. Fuel economy estimates are 15 mpg city and 21 mpg hwy. Antilock disc brakes, stability control, OnStar communications, front-seat side impact airbags and full-length head curtain airbags with rollover sensor are standard, while a side blind zone alert warning system and rain-sensing wipers are optional. |
